As the card for the Easter weekend extravaganza is beginning to take shape, WWE are definitely headed for WrestleMania 41. John Cena is already confirmed to be appearing this year will mark his last match at WrestleMania ahead of his retirement in December. Gunther and Jey Uso, Tiffany Stratton defending the WWE Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair, already confirmed for the event. Regarding the rest of the program and what Cena might be doing, Dave Meltzer dissected the speculations around the WrestleMania 41 card in the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Meltzer first conjectured that the two-day show would feature roughly 13 or 14 matches and that several of WWE’s most well-known stars have their schedules set. One of those stars that is scheduled is Cena. Meltzer says the undetermined WWE Championship fight with Cody Rhodes is still the schedule, and a major Triple Threat match between Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins is also on the books for the show.

Regarding AJ Styles’ activities, there have been hints of a straight singles contest with Finn Balor and a WWE Intercontinental Championship match with Bron Breakker, but neither of bouts have been confirmed. Nor has Solo Sikoa against Jacob Fatu, a match many thought would take place at WrestleMania, but at the time of writing Meltzer believes one of them has an alternative booking; what that booking is still to be seen. Meltzer ended up by stating that following the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event on March 1, any new bouts confirmed or modifications made to the original plans will be placed in action always.
