Becky Lynch Opens Up About Her WWE Future: Retirement Plans and Career Reflections

Becky Lynch has been part of the WWE family for almost a decade at this point and has seen amazing success throughout the years. However, there is always a temporal limit to how long a wrestler can continue to perform in the ring, and now Lynch has addressed her future in professional wrestling.

While speaking on the Getting Over podcast, Becky Lynch was asked how much longer she sees herself wrestling full-time and after she steps away if she would shut that chapter for good or return for short runs, similar to John Cena.

Lynch remarked that wrestling has always been an important part of her life, and she has a strong love and passion for it. It’s also the reason she has her family, making it even more essential to her. However, she isn’t sure what her future in wrestling will look like.

Lynch remarked on how life had recently startled her in unexpected ways. While people create plans, things don’t always go as anticipated, but sometimes they lead to even better opportunities. Looking back, she feels that has been the tale of her entire career.

“I’m not trying to be vague or cagey in any way, but I feel like I have a great mind for wrestling, a great love for it, and it’s always going to be a part of me. It’s in my heart, it’s in my head, and it’s the reason I have my family. So, it’s really essential to me—I just don’t know what that looks like in the future.

Life has surprised me in wonderful ways recently. You can make all these plans, but sometimes things don’t go the way you anticipated. In the long run, though, something else works out—something even better than you planned. And honestly, I feel like that’s been the story of my entire career.”

Becky Lynch has not been seen on WWE television since the May 27th edition of Monday Night RAW, but that will likely be changing very soon as WWE has entered the Netflix era.

It is also to be mentioned that she has already signed a new WWE contract, thus she will eventually be back on TV shortly with a new plot. With WrestleMania 41 approaching, fans will have to wait and see if she returns before then.
