CM Punk Seen Crying at WWE Live Event: Behind Vince McMahon’s Anger and Logan Paul vs. AJ Styles Drama

WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley talked about his time working backstage as a WWE producer on the most recent installment of his podcast. He revealed that Vince McMahon has a specific style of reacting when he was upset with a match.

D-Von claims that McMahon’s trademark answer was to yell, “God damned it!” then a sharp “This is not what I wanted!” When events in the ring did not proceed as expected, his response was unmistakable irritation.

D-Von stated, “If he didn’t like the match, he would take the headset off, put it on the table, look at you, and say, ‘Come here, why did you do such and such? For what reason was that justified? You would then have to explain everything to him, asking why you behaved as you did. He would either reply, ‘Okay, I see that,’ or he would say, ‘No, that is not what I wanted, this is what I wanted.’ And you would have to deal with it.”

He went on, ” Ninety percent of the time, the producer would be the one to face criticism. I used to always explain, ‘Listen, once they step past the curtain, I can’t hold their hands. If we offer them the vision in the rear and then they decide to go another route, I can’t stop that from happening. That’s something that the big boss would have to scold them for.’”

Logan Paul planned to face AJ Styles on next week’s episode of WWE RAW, due to air Monday in London.

Paul commented on Instagram, calling out Styles for his antics on last week’s episode, dubbing them “unforgivable” and adding that Styles is now on his “downfall list.” Styles has yet to respond to the challenge, and the show will run at 3 PM ET/12 PM PT on Netflix.

At Sunday’s Road to WrestleMania event in Nottingham, England, CM Punk and Cody Rhodes shared an emotional moment. A clip was released showing Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, sitting next to Punk on the apron before their match. Punk appeared sad as they both entered the ring together.

In another wonderful scene, a child fan costumed as Cody Rhodes entered the ring with a banner that read, “I’d trade my pacifier to meet Cody.” Rhodes hoisted the child, and both he and Punk signed a turnbuckle. Another young fan with a sign for CM Punk then joined the ring as well, making it a great moment for the youngsters and the stars.
