Dave Meltzer Shares Matchups & Other WWE WrestleMania 41 Expectations

After the Royal Rumble, the WrestleMania 41 card appears more erratic than ever, but Dave Meltzer has disclosed the matches he thinks WWE has scheduled for the occasion. Meltzer, on “Wrestling Observer Radio,” not only identified which WWE legend is most likely to miss WrestleMania, but he also forecasted three important matchups for the event.

GUNTHER and Jey, Cena and Cody Rhodes, and Kevin Owens versus Sami Zayn are all visible in this WrestleMania event. Seth is most likely participating, Roman Reigns is undoubtedly, and punk may also be involved. Dwayne is not mentioned or anything like is included in the mix. Meltzer went on to say that he doesn’t think The Rock will participate physically at WrestleMania 41, but he does expect him to be involved in some way. He also mentioned “The Great One’s” presence in Bad Blood, which he made an angry appearance at after Rhodes and Reigns defeated Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa. Given that he might not be at WrestleMania, it seems useless now.

“I asked myself, ‘Why negative?’ after someone used a really nasty adjective to describe what he accomplished. He will be wrestling Cody at WrestleMania, and guess what? The fact that he will not be wrestling Cody at WrestleMania is no secret. And I go—what? Why this run-in after both Dwayne and Brad Slater informed the business that he would not be competing at WrestleMania?”Meltzer thinks that because Rock loves the company and wants to help break box office records, he would probably be engaged at WrestleMania if he didn’t have other interests outside of WWE.
