Matt Hardy Talks NXT Comeback, Facing Tavion Heights & Myles Borne on Podcast

Matt Hardy

Matt Hardy talked about facing Tavion Heights and Myles Borne of No Quarter Catch Crew on the February 25th episode of NXT and the Hardy Boys’ WWE comeback on the February 18th program in a recent episode of his podcast, “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy.”

The following are some of the podcast’s highlights:

Regarding the Hardys’ WWE NXT plans: “I believe this was a very last-minute thing.” It’s really awesome because everyone is aware of the current collaboration between TNA and WWE as well as NXT. Although I believe it will continue to grow somewhat, TNA has benefited greatly from it. NXT has also benefited greatly from it. And I believe that the wheels started spinning from the authorities just recently, most likely after Fraxiom arrived and they witnessed us defending the titles against The Rascalz. And once more, I am not fully informed about all of these matters. Brother, I still have talent. I’m getting rid of that. I am a talent, not a booking. However, I believe there was some curiosity there. The fact that we can go out and compete against other teams and give them a tiny taste of our style is one example. They also aid us because they are younger teams and help us be relevant in 2025. Both parties benefit from this. Thus, [I’m] quite thrilled about this.

Regarding their presence on the NXT video: “Even on Tuesday night when it occurred. Before that, the brief footage of Jeff and me on NXT had only been there for an hour or forty-five minutes. Not much time had passed. There was no long-term planning involved in this. It was very spontaneous, after all. And it gives you a sense of aliveness. It serves as a reminder of your existence. It somewhat increases the flow and pumping of adrenaline. And so far, it’s been enjoyable, and I’m eager to see where this whole thing goes.

Regarding Road Dogg’s co-headwriting role on SmackDown: “I adore it.” I love Road Dogg a lot. I appreciate his way of thinking. He seems like a wonderful man to me. I also think it’s great that DX will be running the WWE in 2025. Thus, it’s incredible. However, I do. I adore Road Dogg’s methodology. I adore the way he thinks, particularly when it comes to storytelling. It’s excellent but extremely basic. I like it. He has a strong interest in sports entertainment. Yes, man, congrats to him. Road Dogg is someone I adore. I enjoyed spending some time in the ring with him, even making jokes.
