WWE Announces 2026 “Weekend Takeover” in Perth, Australia – WWE and UFC Events Return with Major Collaboration

TKO Deal

WWE just announced their 2026 “weekend takeover” of Perth, Australia, further putting the “world” in global Wrestling Entertainment.

On Friday night, TKO and the Western Australian government jointly announced their expanded collaboration, including the WWE and UFC’s return to Perth. The press announcement states that four more UFC and WWE events will be held in Perth in 2026. An episode of “WWE SmackDown,” “WWE Raw,” and an as-yet-unannounced premium live event are all anticipated to be hosted by WWE.

As stated by Hon. TKO’s combined presence through UFC 284 and Elimination Chamber 2024 brought $50 million into the Western Australian economy, according to Roger Cook MLA, the state’s chief minister. Cook described both TKO properties as “huge drawcards” that could attract “thousands” of fans from all over the world and Australia to their preferred premium live events. Perth is “home to many passionate UFC and WWE fans,” according to Peter Dropkick, Executive Vice President for TKO’s Event Development and Operations department. TKO is eager to continue collaborating with the Western Australian government to hold additional events in Perth. The Western Australian government’s renewed collaboration with TKO was attributed in large measure to Elimination Chamber 2024.

In the upcoming months, further information on WWE’s 2026 visit to Perth is anticipated to be revealed. A link for excited fans to register for presale notifications was also provided in the press release.

Homecoming hero Rhea Ripley defended the WWE Women’s World Championship against Nia Jax on WWE’s final trip to Australia, and there was a unique localised version of the Grayson Waller Effect. Given that WWE has revealed three events in Saudi Arabia for 2026, it appears that international travel will soon become the standard for WWE Superstars.
