Rapper Travis Scott, who is nominated for a Grammy Award, was in the ring this past Saturday when John Cena made his unexpected heel flip after winning the Elimination Chamber. He witnessed Cena attack Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. In the end, Scott would help with the attack on “The American Nightmare,” giving a right hand as Cena restrained Rhodes on the ring mat. However, Dave Meltzer is now stating that because of Scott’s involvement, Rhodes was hurt during the final Elimination Chamber portion.

During the most recent episode of “Wrestling Observer Radio,” Meltzer disclosed the injuries Rhodes sustained as a result of Scott’s physical involvement in the angle.

“Cody was injured… Travis Scott was probably the one who did it. Meltzer uttered. “I heard he had a busted eardrum and a black eye.”

The extent of Rhodes’ injuries has not yet been disclosed, but he is still expected to make an appearance on this Friday’s episode of “WWE Smackdown.” According to recent rumours, Scott’s participation at the Elimination Chamber has been discussed since January, and WWE intends to keep Scott on their show going forward. Along with practicing at the WWE legend’s wrestling school, the American rapper has apparently been talking about competing in a ring. It is unclear, though, how the backstage community will respond to Scott hurting Rhodes and whether WWE would reevaluate the rapper’s physical involvement in the future.
